SRC Training for U13's & 14's Sunday Mornings

Breaking news
The Surf Rescue Certificate will now be done for U13’s & 14’s on a Sunday morning as part of nippers.

This year we are trying something different. We are all time poor so to reduce the number of times you need to attend the beach the SRC training will be done as part of nippers.
Training will start at 800 am on a Sunday morning with theory, CPR and first aid. Followed by, run swim run, board rescue and tube rescue training.
The training will commence the second week of nippers on October 11th at 800am. We expect the course to run for approx. 8 weeks and will make adjustments for carnivals during this period.
The cost of the SRC will be $70.00 (this covers your manual) this will need to be paid before or on 11th October 2015.
Assessment will depend on when you turn 13 and there will be a number of assessments during the season. For those that haven’t turned 13 by December we will do a few refresher’s before you sit your assessment to make sure you are more than ready.
Remember if you are in the U14’s you need your SRC to compete. You will need to attend all sessions to ensure you are ready to sit your assessment and pass with flying colours. If you do not attend the training you will not be able to sit the assessment.
A lot of time goes into training the Surf Rescue Certificate and this is the first step in becoming a life saver. It is an expectation of the club that once you have your SRC you will be required to do your patrols.
